The NuKoat RP 1 & RPWF Liquids are a unique blend of multiple azoles and a proprietary Corrosion Inhibitor. This unique blend provides unmatched corrosion protection in semiconductor devices and Read/Write heads. NuKoat RP 1 & RPWF corrosion inhibitors provide cost-effective solutions to corrosion problems by delivering a protective shield to metals including copper, brass, aluminum, steel, cobalt, zinc, magnesium, and silver.
Film forming protection Polymeric film (proprietary) Typically mono-molecular layer. 5-10 Angstroms. May form thicker layers up to 200 Angstroms. Stable film, up to 225 °C Removed with acidic or alkaline cleaners

NuKoat RP1

RP1 is an aqueous (water based) fluid.

RP1 is readily soluble in all water based solution (polar solutions).

NuKoat RPW

RPWF is an aqueous (water based) fluid that contains no water in concentrated form. RPWF is soluble in all polar fluids (water soluble).

RPWF has been solublized in propylene glycol instead of DI water.

APPLICATION METHOD:

May be used as a stand alone inhibitor for film forming corrosion protection.

May be added to existing solutions for added corrosion protection: Cleaners, Rinse Tanks, Slurries, Slicing and Dicing fluids etc…

Typical Concentration range is from 0.3% to 3% by volume, depending on application.
